How does Terbinafine Hydrochloride 250 mg Tablet work?
Terbinafine is an allylamine antifungal that inhibits biosynthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membrane, via inhibition of squalene epoxidase enzyme. This results in fungal cell death primarily due to the increased membrane permeability mediated by the accumulation of high concentrations of squalene, but not due to ergosterol deficiency.

Terbinafine is very well tolerated, but may be associated with a few side effects. If vomiting is an issue, give terbinafine with food. Giving with food can reduce the chance of vomiting and upset stomach. Possible side effects may include : vomiting, diarrhea or lack of appetite
