Cosequin is available in five different formulations, each designed for specific needs depending on the overall health of your dogs. Each formula helps reduce inflammation and rebuild cartilage.
Joint health supplements aren't only necessary for senior dogs. If you notice your dog having difficulty with activity, such as walking up stairs or jumping up to bed, your dog may benefit from Cosequin DS.
The recommended initial administration period is four to six weeks; however, some dogs may respond in a shorter period of time. The number of Cosequin DS tablets may then be reduced to the maintenance level. The tablets can be easily cut and given with the pet's food. Wet or moist food is preferred to ensure that the pet gets the entire amount.
Once consistent improvement has been seen, these maintenance levels may be reduced to an every other day administration. The maintenance level can also be used long-term on healthy dogs to help support their joints.
